An information resource on the health sector in Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries |
The Health Policy Exchange (HPEx) was established as a resource centre for independent information on health and health care in countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) with a particular focus on Poland (PL).
The policy centre will monitor developments, gather, analyse and synthesise information. Health and healthcare information is dispersed throughout a variety of sources which are often difficult to access and are not usually available in English. Certain types of information are available in the official databases of the World Health Organisation and the European Union (EU). Existing country reviews can provide excellent background information, but this is not always sufficiently detailed and may become out of date. These limitations mean that anyone wishing to engage in activities in the new EU Member States or other CEE Countries, whether academic, business, non- governmental or governmental may find that acquiring up to date detailed information is somewhat challenging.
